Class Policies and Regulations
Students are expected to demonstrate courtesy, respect, and a positive attitude within the center.
Students and Instructors must “leave their ego at the door.”
There is zero tolerance for harassment within the BKM family. Everyone deserves the right to train in a fun, safe, and non-threatening environment.
Students will exercise respect during class.
Be on time, stay focused, and train hard.
Respond to Instructors with “Yes Sir/Ma’am” or “No Sir/Ma’am”.
Exercise coachability at all times and put in effort while training.
Limit conversation during class. We’re here to train, not to talk.
Students are expected to practice proper hygiene (i.e. shower, brush teeth, wear deodorant, and wear a clean T-Shirt).
Students line up by rank before and after class, highest rank to the right, lowest rank to the left.
Parents
We appreciate your investment in your child’s training, but please refrain from coaching from the sides. Trust the Instructors. We see what needs to be fixed, but also understand the time to correct it. Coaching from off the mat is distracting, and even discouraging, to students.
Code of Conduct
Students must wear clean BKM T-Shirts during training and testing.
Outside shoes are not permitted on the mat. Students may choose to wear wrestling and/or martial arts shoes, socks, or to train barefoot.
For your safety and the safety of your training partners, no jewelry, earrings, or watches are permitted on the mat.
Hair should be pulled back and secured away from the face during training.
Dressing rooms are provided. Do not change in public areas.
Please do not bring valuables to the center. We will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.
Write your full name inside your equipment.
No bare feet are allowed coming in or out of the center.
Shoes must be worn in the restroom.
